As the world fights COVID-19 and India continues to contain the spread of this virus across the country, JK Business School has ensured that its students do not fall behind academically. JKBS has shifted its complete classroom learning to online mode of pedagogy for its PGDM, BBA and B.Com program students. Many tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, Twitter , WhatApp and Facebook have been very aggressive in supporting the global community through their platforms.
One such platform offered by Google is G Suite which is aimed at making life easier for work and study from home. It gives advanced streaming tools to all its paid customers. However as a CSR initiative Google has announced that it would be rolling out free access to ‘advanced’ features for Hangouts Meet to all G Suite and G Suite for Education customers globally. JKBS has partnered with Google to conduct all the classes and official work on this platform. This means that our institute can host meetings with up to 250 participants, live stream to up to 100,000 viewers within a single domain, and record and save meetings and classroom sessions to Google Drive. All this data is available on the drive for later consumption. While Google normally charges upto $25 per user per month for these services, it is giving out these services for free during these challenging times. It is also promoting social awareness online through JKBS student creatives and spreading healthcare and COVID-19 prevention guidelines in collaboration with JKBS.
Prof. (Dr.) Sanjiv Marwah, Director JKBS said, “We understand that this global health crisis will not hamper our belief of delivering intellectual excellence to our students. While students, faculty and staff were told to leave the campus after the Holi break to ensure social distancing, they all are completely networked and connected through the online mode of teaching and learning. We are a socially righteous and technologically advanced institute and believe that the digital and virtual space should be effectively used to ensure everyone’s physical safety and safeguard the interest of the community at large. JK Business school stands committed to deliver quality education to its students and we are proudly doing so.”
