JK Business School, collaborated with the Society for Social Development and People’s Action (SDPA) to organize a National Conference on “Copyright, Patent and Plagiarism: Threat or Opportunity for Academia and Publishing Industry” at JK Business School Campus, Gurugram, Haryana on Friday, March’ 30 2018.
With the vision of increasing interests in research as well as enhanced surveillance on the incidents of IPR laws violations, the Conference aimed at informed discussion with reference to judicial decisions, policy positions and relevant legal provisions to understand the challenges involved and their remedies.
Dr. (Prof.) Brijesh Kumar, Dean, Ansal University, in his key note address, threw light on various aspects of the Intellectual Property Rights concerns. The Director of JK Business School, Dr. (Prof.) Sanjiv Marwah expressed pleasure for becoming the host for a National level discourse on this subject. He thanked the participants for taking time to write papers and gather in such a large number to deliberate on this issue.
The event covered presentations on-
120 participants; comprising, Scholars, Academic & Subject specialists and Publishers from different parts of the country graced the occasion with their presence in the Conference. The event was concluded with the launch of- “Copyright, Patent and Plagiarism: Threat or Opportunity for Academia and Publishing Industry”, a book comprising 52 research based papers on related topic.
The management graduates at JK Business School enjoyed the benefits of the National Level Conference, as they got an exposure to the technical aspects of IPR, its challenges and several meaningful insights shared during the course of the event.
