Assistant Professor (Information Technology)

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Professor in Information Technology to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community. This role requires a passion for teaching, a commitment to research excellence, and the ability to engage and inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

1. Deliver lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Technology.

2. Develop and update curriculum and course materials in line with current trends and industry standards.

3. Mentor and guide students through their academic and research projects.

4. Assess and evaluate students' performance through assignments, exams, and practicals.

Research:

1. Conduct high-quality research in the field of Information Technology.

2. Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.

3. Seek and secure research funding from internal and external sources.

4. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects.

Service:

1. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative duties.

2. Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field.

3. Contribute to community outreach and public engagement activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

1. A Ph.D. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a recognized university.

2. Candidates who are NET (National Eligibility Test) qualified will also be considered.

3. Candidates with MCA (Master of Computer Applications), M.Tech (Master of Technology)IT or CSE, and B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) IT or CSE degrees are eligible to apply.

Experience:

1. Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level is preferred.

2. A strong research record with publications in reputable journals.

3. Experience in curriculum development and academic advising is an asset.

Skills:

1. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

3. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.

4. Proficiency in relevant IT tools, software, and programming languages.
