Dr. Tanmoy Bhattacharya has his PhD from the University of Kentucky, USA. He also did his undergraduate and Master’s in the USA. Having lived there for almost thirty years, he has held a variety of positions in academics as well as the government sector. He has taught at highly reputable institutions in the USA including Lewis and Clark College, Baker University and the University of Kentucky. He was also a Senior Research Analyst with the Department of Human Services in the USA. He has presented research in a number of conferences and published in journals including the Eastern Economics Association Meetings and Proceedings, the Mid-West Economics Association Meetings, the Mid-West Computational Sciences Meetings and Proceedings, etc. His areas of research interest include price dispersion in retail pharmaceutical drugs and also the impact of the internet on market structure. Both areas deal primarily with how prices are dispersed both in offline markets as well as online markets. Dr. Bhattacharya is recently back to India and has joined JK Business School to share his expertise with students. His primary areas of teaching interest are Economics, Finance and Business Statistics.
