A step towards environment protection “Green Drive” by JK Business School

Growth- a highly subjective term, which has its meaning changing from person to person and time to time but the real question that arises is whether our duties are only limited to ourselves? We all owe environment so much that it is every individual’s responsibility to save and work towards its protection.

In an effort to contribute our bit, JKB School has planned a Green Drive in the college Campus which will take on 31st July, 2017. This is done to spread awareness about environment protection, consequences of all the depleting resources and importance of conserving and planting more trees.

Here is some fun facts associated that would encourage you even more to grow and save more trees-
•Proper placement of trees around buildings can reduce air conditioning needs by 30%.
•One tree can absorb as much carbon in a year as a car produces while driving 26,000 miles. (Imagine how much pollution can we save our Earth from)
•Over the course of its life, a single tree can absorb one ton of carbon dioxide.
•Trees even assist in navigation through its rings on the cut down part.
• “Da Vinci’s Rule of the Trees” states that “all branches of a tree at every stage of its height when put together are equal in thickness to its trunk”, which now appears to be true.

It is in our hands where we can still save or destroy the environment. In the hope of a better future, the top business school of Gurgaon works with its students and faculties to continue saving the environment and spreading awareness for the same. After all, it has been aptly said that –
“Plans to protect air, water, wilderness and wildlife are in fact plans to protect man”.
