Kapil Jain discusses how JKBS helped harness his potential and about his placement with XL Dynamics.

It was a day of great pride for Kapil Jain when he joined JK Business School and became a part of the rich academic heritage and close knit family that is the hallmark of the institute. It was also a moment of pride when this student of 2015–17 Batch got placed with XL Dynamics India Pvt. Ltd as an Associate Analyst. As he prepares for his move to the Navi Mumbai based company, he talks about his new beginning with JKBS and his track to placement success.

Talking about his association with the institute and what he has gained from his two year academic stint, Kapil says, “I joined JKBS with a lot of expectations and the institute has lived up to all of it and more. Right from day one I felt like I had become a part of a family here. In fact, I would like to call the JKBS family my friend, philosopher and guide.” He then goes on to add that it was the contribution of every member of the staff and faculty team that helped him learn and grow over the two years he spent here.

According to Kapil, it was a fantastic learning experience every step of the way at JKBS. While the classroom learning familiarized him with management concepts, different initiatives offered him useful exposure to a corporate setup. He believes it was this practical exposure that tilted the balance in his favour during the placement process. “The interview process for XL Dynamics was full of both excitement and nervousness since I had already been through several rounds of selection. I thought I was in for further HR rounds but I was selected and felt on top of the world,” he says with a big smile on his face.

While he is raring to go as a professional and intends to prove himself in his new role, he remains grateful for the inputs he got and tactics he learned from his faculty members that helped him ace the interview process. At the cusp of a new chapter of his life, he has helpful advice for his juniors at the institute. “Be regular in the classroom and get your concepts cleared as much as possible. Be curious about gaining in-depth knowledge about the specialization you choose. Make the most out of the extracurricular activities and initiatives at JKBS because they will boost your confidence and overall personality,” he says.
