Hostel Accommodation Process

Step 1: Admission Confirmation

Students must first secure admission into a JKBS program. Only after receiving the official admission offer can a student proceed with the hostel application process. This ensures seat allocation is linked with academic enrollment.

Step 2: Hostel Request Submission

While filling the admission form or soon after, students must indicate their interest in hostel accommodation. This step is crucial as allotment is processed on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited availability.

Step 3: Room Type Selection

Students choose between available room options — single, double, or triple occupancy; AC or non-AC. Preferences are considered based on availability, gender, and any specific medical or personal requirements submitted during registration.

Step 4: Fee Payment

Once the hostel seat is confirmed, students are required to pay the hostel fee within the specified timeline. This includes security deposit (refundable) and term-wise accommodation charges as per selected occupancy type.

Step 5: Document Submission

Students must upload valid ID proof, medical certificate, and signed code of conduct forms. These documents are required for safety, verification, and smooth hostel operations, ensuring a secure living environment for all residents.

Step 6: Room Allotment & Check-In

Room details and check-in schedule are communicated prior to the session start. On arrival, students receive their welcome kit and are assisted by hostel staff to settle in and get oriented with campus life.
